Cedar Lodge Joins the Global Tea Party for Nutrition and Hydration Week
Residents, relatives and employees at Cedar Lodge enjoyed participating in the Global Tea Party for Nutrition and Hydration Week.
Many people participated in with the tea, cakes and laughter throughout the afternoon. Contributions to the afternoon tea were donated by staff, relatives and our talented Chefs who made delicious home baked goodies. One resident commented “it was the best chocolate cake I’ve ever had!”.
Throughout Nutrition and Hydration week residents could enjoy different themes every day. For residents at Cedar Lodge this meant:
- Big breakfast Monday
- Snack Happy Tuesday
- Global Afternoon Tea Wednesday
- Thirsty Thursday
- Fruity Friday
- Smoothie Saturday
- Sundae Sunday
Nutrition and Hydration week is all about highlighting, promoting and celebrating the improvements in the provision of nutrition and hydration. So, at Forest Care we aimed for the week to raise awareness of the importance of nutrition and hydration within care homes and how it can involve a wide variety of fun food and beverages!
