The Holly Lodge Grand Unveiling Party
Holly Lodge opened its doors on Saturday 12th October to friends, family and guests for the Grand Unveiling of their full refurbishment.
Staff welcomed guests with prosecco and canapes as they walked through the grand entrance of the newly refurbished, private care home. Everyone could enjoy care home tours, experiencing a number of new facilities the home has added, such as the Holly Bush Pub, art gallery, cinema and interior garden.
The care home was joined by the Mayor of Surrey Heath who cut the ribbon of the newly refurbished home. He said “looking around you can see why this care home has been shortlisted for the national Excellence and Innovation in Dementia Care award 2019”. The Mayor of Surrey Heath and Frank Fogarty, owner of Forest Care, then thanked the hard-working team of decorators for their high standard of craftsmanship.
After speeches, residents and guests enjoyed a live performance by Jack Mason, 2017 X-Factor finalist, whose angelic voice was enjoyed by all.
Everyone at Holly Lodge would like to thank all attendees for supporting the home as it celebrated the completion of its full renovation.
Holly Lodge has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award!
The Caring UK Awards are now in their third year and the home has beaten off competition from hundreds of others across the UK to be shortlisted in the Excellence and Innovation in Dementia Care category in the awards.
Rico, Home Manager of Holly Lodge, says “we are honoured to be shortlisted in this award and proud that our efforts to provide person-centered care to those living with Dementia has been externally recognised”.
This award is one of eleven finalist positions Forest Care has received this year across all four homes. Frank Fogarty, owner of Forest Care, says “I’d just like to say a big thank you to all the staff and their extensive and good work that has led to us being shortlisted”.
The annual event recognises excellence and achievement in care homes throughout the country with shortlisted facilities being as far north as Ballachulish in northern Scotland and as far south as Devon.
The awards are organised by Script Events in conjunction with leading care industry magazine Caring UK, with support from headline sponsor Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank, and in each category up to seven finalists have been selected, who will now go through to the next stage of the judging process where they will be out to impress by showcasing first hand the great work going on in their homes.
Winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony on Friday November 15 at The Athena in Leicester.
