A Mad Hatters Tea Party at Oak Lodge for Nutrition and Hydration Week
There is no party like a Man Hatter’s Tea party, and the theme didn’t disappoint at Oak Lodge for Nutrition and Hydration Week.
As you entered the care home you were greeted by a wonderland signpost directing everyone to the main lounge where music, laughter, food, drinks and decorations could be enjoyed by all.
Residents were joined by many favourite characters from the Lewis Carroll novel. Alice, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare and of course the Queen of Hearts had to make a visit to Oak Lodge for this special occasion.
The head chef contributed themed cakes for the event, which were greatly appreciated. One resident commented “everyone looks so wonderful and the cakes were delicious!”
Instead of croquet, balloons filled the air for everyone to hit to one another. Grace, Home Manager at Oak Lodge, said “It was an incredibly fun and engaging event filling the home with laughter. I’d like to thank everyone who participated”.
