Friends & Family Work for Us

Providing well-rounded care is important to us, we endeavour to look after residents’ physical and medical needs, as well as their social, mental and emotional well-being. Although physiotherapy, chiropody and hairdressing are not regulatory requirements, we believe they form an integral part of our resident’s care and should be provided at no additional cost.

Physiotherapy

We encourage our residents to lead an active and healthy lifestyle at Forest Care and offer regular group exercises and a clinic where residents can have one-to-one consultations with a physiotherapist. Physiotherapy plays an important role at every Forest Care home because it helps to maintain a resident’s mobility, prevent falls and train staff in best movement practices.

Hairdressing

A little pampering makes everyone feel good, which is why our hairdressing services within our onsite hair salons are included in our weekly fees. Additional charges apply for specialist treatments, such as perms and colouring.

Chiropody

Each of our care homes has a visiting chiropodist who visits regularly attending to any treatment our residents may require. This is an important part of the holistic care our residents receive at every Forest Care home. Additional charges may apply for specialist nail/feet treatments.

Day Trips

As each home has its own wheelchair-friendly mobility vehicle, the teams can transport small groups of residents for day trips out. Whether it’s a visit to a nearby attraction, an afternoon tea at a local hotel or garden centre or a longer trip to the seaside, we understand the importance of spending quality time with residents.
