COVID-19 Management and Visitors Guidance
Due to the COVID-19 situation, we will not be allowing non-essential visitors into our care homes for the foreseeable future. The welfare of our residents and staff remains our priority and we therefore appreciate your cooperation and understanding during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Please click here for our latest update from our Director, Mark Vickery.
We will ensure that essential medical visits continue to be made and relatives are updated regularly. As always, we are continuing with our whole-home approach to providing a high standard or care and support to our residents, ensuring their emotional, social and medical needs are cared for.
New enquiries via telephone and email are still welcome, however we will not be conducting care home tours or accepting new admissions during the COVID-19 situation.
We would like to offer our reassurance that we currently do not have any confirmed cases in any of our homes. If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to the Care Home Manager at the related care home.
Finally, please let’s all take care of ourselves and our families, making sure we all continue to follow the advice we are given so this can all be over as quickly as it possibly can be. Thank you in advance for your patience, cooperation and understanding.
Each of our award-winning care homes combine luxury living alongside specialist nursing, residential, dementia and respite care for the elderly, in purpose-built environments set in beautiful Hampshire and Surrey countrysides. Our private care homes offer all-inclusive fees and no deposits, you can relax knowing one fee covers all the person-centered care you or your relative will need.
We take great pride in the care we provide for each of our residents and work closely with their families to create individual care plans that meet all their needs whether medical, physical, emotional or social.
Forest Care has no hidden extra charges. The fees payable are charged from the day of arriving to the day of leaving and include a variety of complimentary therapies. Our weekly fees are dependent on individual needs based on a comprehensive pre-admission assessment and include NHS Funded Nursing Care (FNC) where eligible.
Care homes are categorised by the type of care they provide, which will range from minimal support to 24-hour nursing care for those with complex needs. All of our homes offer respite, residential or nursing care, while Rowan Lodge and Holly Lodge are also suited for those who are living with dementia.
We provide a full and varied activities programme for our residents, which are typically organised between 10am and 4pm each day. The activities team use care plans and individual residents’ histories and hobbies to plan respectful activities that enhance lives, encourage socialisation and stimulate memories. This is an important part of our person-centered care.
Our nursing and respite care homes in Basingstoke and Hook, Hampshire and Camberley, Surrey offer high standards of care, comfort, security and support in beautiful surroundings.
Choosing a care home can be a difficult and emotional process. We try to make it a little easier by providing the level of care and homely environment that our residents would wish for. Our open-door policy means visitors, guests and pets are always welcome, any time of day. This is one of the benefits of a family-owned and managed company.
Not only do we believe good nutrition and hydration is important for your health, our talented Catering Teams pride themselves on offering freshly prepared meals every day, made from locally sourced ingredients. Each of our homes also has a dedicated member of staff who plans and organises new and exciting ways to encourage nutrition and hydration.
We think it’s better that you hear from our residents about the care we provide. See our review pages to listen to our residents, relatives and staff stories.
