All Forest Care full time employees are entitled to 28 days holiday per annum. All team members accrue holiday during their employment with the company.

We demonstrate our appreciation for long-serving employees through our annual Years of Service awards where we give out monetary prizes and gifts worth at least £100. This scheme celebrates your 5th year with the company and then every half decade of employment thereafter.

Our care homes are newly refurbished. Employees can enjoy modern surroundings, beautiful woodland landscapes and up-to-date professional equipment.

Comprehensive induction training is provided to all new employees to ensure they feel confident and comfortable in their role at the care home.

We seek to employ the best people and ensure that all members of staff are provided with ongoing training and development, regardless of previous experience and qualifications. We do this so our staff can build their skill-sets and provide better care to our residents. Examples of free training we provide includes eLFY online courses and Virtual Dementia tour training.

Celebrating a job well done is important to us. Our Employee of the Month scheme is an opportunity for you, your colleagues, your residents and their relatives to appreciate and recognise the hard work of team members who go the extra mile to provide person-centred care.

We believe that it is vital to acknowledge the valuable contribution everyone makes to the running of our care homes. So along with the National Carers Week and National Nurses Week, we also host appreciation weeks throughout the year for every team working in our homes.

Forest Care operates an automatic enrolment facility into the pension scheme. Employees will normally be automatically enrolled after 3 months of continuous service.

We believe developing your skillsets will help you provide exemplary care to our residents and contribute to your career progression within Forest Care. That is why we will pay for and encourage you to complete further NVQ training.

We will offer to pay for your Skilled Worker visa application fee for eligible nurses and senior carers who are looking to move to the UK from abroad.

All full time, contractual employees can enjoy paid breaks when working at any of our care homes.

You shouldn’t have to pay for your uniform, that is why Forest Care is happy to provide you with your uniform. We’ll even replace them free of charge when they become damaged from normal wear and tear.

We will fund your DBS checks subject to successful applications.

Throughout the year we provide a variety of treats for our staff. This might include staff parties, takeaway meals for lunch and even a free monthly staff lottery whereby you can win £25… just for a bit of fun!

Forest Care’s sister company is Oakley Hall Hotel. All contractual employees can benefit from generous discounts for food, activities and accommodation at Oakley Hall Hotel, an elegant & luxurious Georgian hotel set in the lovely countryside.

Appreciation Weeks

There is a national Nurses Week and Carers week, which we celebrate, however, we believe that every team is integral to the smooth running of our care homes, that is why we host appreciation weeks for every department throughout the year.

Training and Development

If employees are interested in further training and development, our homes will support staff in gaining their next NVQ qualifications.
