Forest Care’s Spring 2025 Newsletter

Welcome to our Spring 2025 edition, full of celebrations and community moments:

Cedar Lodge Celebrations

Music filled the air with performances by Sunshine Ukuleles and harpist Francisco. Our Cedar Ladies enjoyed pampering sessions for International Women’s Day, and we marked Nutrition & Hydration Week with a cheerful tea party and refreshing smoothies.

Holly Lodge Experiences

Mondays are for mindfulness with Meditation Mondays, complete with calming music, essential oils, and soothing readings. Residents reminisced with Gramofun, and Janet’s family proudly showcased her stunning artwork for everyone to admire.

Elm Lodge Experiences

Residents loved a visit to Miller’s Ark Farm and welcomed Dick Forsyth from the Aviation Museum for an insightful World War I talk in our summer garden house. Families joined us for delightful tea parties celebrating Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.

Oak Lodge Celebrations

Residents enjoyed a wonderful visit to Milestones Museum as part of the Memory Lounge project. One resident shared:“I really enjoyed it! It was great for sparking conversations and helping younger staff understand what life was like back then. I’d love to go again.” Our Sewing Club got creative with beautiful spring crafts, and we celebrated Nutrition & Hydration Week with tasty smoothies and fruit sticks. The biggest celebration of all – our first wedding bells rang at Oak Lodge! Congratulations to Jim & Barbara, who tied the knot on April 8th.

Rowan Lodge Moments

Valentine’s Day was extra sweet with a delicious charcuterie board and a homemade cake by Olga. Residents shared heartfelt messages on Rowan’s Love Tree and enjoyed a magical Venetian-inspired evening with Joanna Henwood.
