At Cedar Lodge, the Cuddly Cavies brought plenty of smiles, International Women’s Day was marked with a relaxing pamper morning and photoshoot, and residents enjoyed an engaging RHS Wisley presentation tailored to Cedar trees. Residents at Elm Lodge experienced the thrill of an Aerobility flight simulator, the heart warming Living Eggs hatching programme, and a bespoke RHS Wisley presentation, while Oak Lodge residents were delighted by visits from hens and rabbits, took part in an intergenerational reminiscence session with Queen Mary’s College students, and enjoyed shared Mother’s Day celebrations.Across all our homes, Nutrition and Hydration Week and Mother’s Day were celebrated with themed activities, special meals, and meaningful time spent with families.

Resident Spotlight – Dolly Smith (Oak Lodge):

Born in 1926 in Frimley Green, Dolly lived a life of dedicated wartime service, a 70 year happy marriage raising two children, cherished family travels and gardening, and in later years found friendship and care at Oak Lodge, where she celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by loved ones.

Staff Spotlight – Ola Kovalova (Chef at Rowan Lodge):

Born in Kharkiv, Ola built a life around family and a beloved patisserie as a trained pastry chef and food engineer, and after the war reshaped her journey in the UK, where she now finds meaning in caring for others and cherishing life’s small, quiet joys.
