  • Promote the mental and physical activity of residents through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, and any other hobbies that they might have.
  • Assist residents at meal times if required
  • Read and write reports in case notes.
  • Answer emergency bells
  • To undertake any other duties as required by line management

Skills and Experience of our Senior Care Assistants;

  • NVQ Qualification – NVQ 3 essential.
  • A genuine willingness to care for Senior Adults within a Care Home environment
  • Previous experience in leading or supervising a Care Team desirable
  • High level of written and spoken English

Our Activities Team provide a full and varied activities programme of therapeutic group, individual and one-to-one activities for residents to enjoy. Activities are tailored towards the individual, supported by life story work, in line with Forest Care’s ethos of a person-centered approach to holistic care.

This will be a full-time role, 40 hour a week role, working alternate weekends, with a flexible approach.

  • A good level of computer literacy
  • Enthusiastic and outgoing personality
  • Possess Level 2 Napa Qualification in Activities or be willing to commence study(fully supported)
  • Willing to undertake any other courses (fully supported) to keep skills relevant and up-to-date
  • Hold a full, clean driving licence
