Our activities team provide a full and varied activities programme for our residents, which are typically organised between 10am and 4pm each day. The activities team use care plans and individual residents’ histories and hobbies to plan respectful activities that enhance lives, encourage socialisation and stimulate memories. This is an important part of our person-centered care.

We respect our residents’ right to make choices and are happy to organise activities they tell us they would enjoy. And for those who are less able, we provide 1:1 activities. Residents are free to choose where and how they spend their time. This includes socialising as much (or as little) as they wish to.

To follow our activities more regularly, follow us on Facebook using @ForestCareLtd.

Outdoor Fun

Whether it’s enjoying a group exercise class or simply soaking up some vitamin D, our residents have been enjoying our outdoors areas over the summer.

Dressed to Impress

Our resident crafts club couldn’t resist dressing up our robotic therapy cats. And we have to say we love their new attire!

With lockdown restrictions easing, we’ve been enjoying lots of day trips into the local community. From a trip to our local pub or simply a walk in the park, our residents can enjoy their favourite activities once more…. We even enjoy making new furry friends!

Football Fun

It’s a shame that we lost, but we all had lots of fun staying up and supporting our team play in the final!

All of our entertainers are back, wowing us with their voices and tempting us to tap our feet.

To spread a bit of winter joy, our staff and residents enjoyed building their very own winter snowman… who of course had to wear the appropriate PPE.

Covid-Safe Visiting Room

Christmas Decoration Competition

Many of our residents participated in the Forest Care Annual Christmas Competition. This year, the theme was handmade decorations, and our residents pulled out all the stops! Check out this beautiful wreath made out of toilet rolls!!

Remembrance Sunday

For Remembrance Sunday, our weekend Administrator, Sandra, kindly read a poem and shared a few words before we enjoyed a coffee morning sharing memories and stories. It was a peaceful and respectful day remembering those we’ve lost. Lest we Forget.

Happy Halloween

We don’t need much persuasion at Holly Lodge to embrace a theme, so you can image how much we enjoyed Halloween. From carving pumpkins and baking grewsome treats to enjoying spooky decorations… it was a fun filled day for all.

Caribbean Culture Day

We fully embraced everything Caribbean for our latest Culture Day. We squished our toes in the sand, enjoyed cocktails and indulged in authentic foods!

Many of our residents enjoy flower arranging, which is a popular weekly activity we host in the main lounge or garden.
