The distinction between residential and nursing care in a care home typically depends on the level of care required by the resident.
Residential Care is designed for individuals who need help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and general supervision. Residential care homes provide accommodation, meals, and social activities in a supportive environment. This type of care is often suitable for elderly individuals who may be living alone after losing a partner or those who benefit from companionship and social interaction.
Nursing Care offers a higher level of medical support and is suited for residents with more complex medical needs. Nursing care homes, like Holly Lodge, provide 24-hour care from qualified nurses. This type of care includes ongoing monitoring, medical attention, and support for specific health conditions, ensuring residents receive comprehensive medical support and care.
